Formalities at the airport
Check-in
To check in on Madagascar Airlines flights, passengers on international flights can check in online or at the airport at the Madagascar Airlines check-in counter.
The registration deadline is:
- 04 hours before departure for long-haul flights (To/from Paris France)
- 03 hours before departure for regional flights (to/from Reunion island, France)
The online registration deadline:
You can check in online between 30 hours and 120 minutes before departure. However, you must drop off your baggage at the check-in counter at the airport.
Health formalities on arrival in ANTANANARIVO
Required documents:
- Disembarkation form to be completed on the day of the flight and to be given to the arriving authorities.
- Valid passport or pass.
- Visa for dates and reasons of travel if required or resident card in Madagascar.
- Negative PCR test performed less than 72 hours before boarding in Paris Roissy Charles de Gaulle for all passengers 5 years and over
- Certificate of reservation of 2 nights of hotels on arrival in Antananarivo and payment of at least one night among the list of receptive hotels approved by the Malagasy authorities (downloadable here): at the expense of the passenger
- Passenger commitment letter downloadable here
- Negative PCR test performed less than 72 hours prior to boarding for all passengers 5 years and older.
- TDR test on arrival in Antananarivo TNR: paying 15EUR/20USD/65000Ariary at the expense of the passenger, for all passengers 5 years and more.
- Passengers tested positive: isolation and treatment of at least 7 days in hotel room or establishment among the list approved by the authority; at the expense of the passenger and until a negative test result is obtained.
- Transfer from the Airport – establishment: at the expense of the passenger.
Health formalities on arrival in Paris Roissy
- Valid passport
- Visa for dates and reasons of travel or residence permit in the country of destination if required.
- European digital traceability sheet to be completed online: app.euplf.eu
Vaccinated Passengers:
- Evidence of a complete vaccination regimen:
- 28 days after a dose of Janssen vaccine,
- 7 days after the second dose for the other AstraZeneca Vaxzevria, Covishield vaccines.
Unvaccinated Passengers:
- Negative RT-PCR test less than 72 hours or negative antigenic test (TDR) less than 48 hours prior to boarding for any passenger 12 years of age or older, except for connecting passengers whose final destination does not require testing.

- Evidence of a complete vaccination regimen
- Negative RT-PCR test performed less than 72h or negative antigenic test (TDR) performed less than 48h prior to boarding, for any passenger 12 years of age and older.
Unvaccinated Passengers:
- Negative RT-PCR test performed less than 72h or negative antigenic test (TDR) performed less than 48h prior to boarding, for any passenger 12 years of age and older.

- Public Health Passenger Location/Traceability Form in paper or electronic format
- Declaration of Honour attesting to the acceptance of a screening examination on arrival and isolation for a period of 7 days.
- Statement of Honour not to present symptoms of COVID-19 infection and not to be aware of having been in contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19 within 14 days prior to travel.
