Les avoirs ou EMD émis en échange des billets non utilisés suite à la suspension des vols durant la forte recrudescence de l’épidémie Covid19 sont arrivés au terme de leur validité le 31 Décembre 2022 dernier.

Any ticket whose travel was planned during the suspension period of Tsaradia’s flights, remain valid until 31 December 2022. Travellers must confirm the new travel dates in order to use their air ticket again.

In view of the health context, and for the safety of passengers and crew, TSARADIA adopts the following provisions for all passengers tested positive for COVID-19 from Antananarivo, as well as its accompanying, on condition of confirmation of the passenger’s positivity by the Tsaradia agency at the airport.


  • Tickets for a tested positive passenger and accompanying passengers are subject to change without penalty until December 31, 2022. The change may concern the date and/or the route and/or the name and is only allowed once. However, if the original tariff class is no longer available, a rate adjustment is to be expected.
  • The refund of tickets follows the usual refund procedure: the refundable tickets remain refundable according to the conditions of refund of the point of sale that issued the ticket.

Tsaradia ticket holders whose travel has been postponed due to Covid-19 can request to change without penalty:

  • The travel date(s)
  • the names of the passengers
  • the itinerary of the trip
  • The change is unique (only once), for travel no later than December 31, 2022.

The amendment is without penalty. However, a tariff adjustment is required in the following cases:

  • If the original fare class is no longer available on the new trip date. This often happens when the date of the new flight is very close.
  • If there is a currency exchange rate update
  • If there is a tax update
  • In case of change of route.

These specific provisions cannot be managed online. Each airline ticket has its own fare conditions. Some files initially require change penalties, which cannot be cancelled online.

In the event of online changes to the trip, change penalties will apply for editable tickets. 

In case the ticket is refundable, it is possible to request a refund.

The processing of refunds of tickets issued by TSARADIA points of sale (website, call center and Tsaradia agencies in Ivato and in provinces) can currently take up to one hundred and twenty (120) days after receipt of the customer’s request.

It is possible to request a credit note as well, which you can use to purchase a new ticket later.

The processing of refunds of TSARADIA tickets issued by AIR MADAGASCAR agencies (Analakely, La City) follows the usual refund procedure specific to AIR MADAGASCAR.

The processing of refunds of tickets issued by travel agencies follows the usual procedure of the travel agency.

As a reminder, only tickets whose conditions allow the refund are refundable. (namely the rates "Freedom" and "Privilege").

Tickets with a promotional rate ("Legereté", "Coup de coeur", "Promo", "Découverte") are non-refundable.

Tickets with a "Liberté" fare, "Privilège" are refundable.

We advise you to change your ticket a few days before your new trip to avoid readjustments due to the unavailability of the original fare on the booking date. The closer the flight date is, the less likely your original fare will be available. If your ticket is at a "Promo" fare, there will necessarily be a readjustment to provide.

Covid-19 Prevention Measures

Tsaradia has resumed its flight in a sanitary context where prudence and vigilance are still required.

Also, as part of the ongoing fight against the spread of COVID-19, among other health measures, the Malagasy government has imposed COVID-19 screening through a Covid-19 test for any passenger leaving or joining Antananarivo.

Vaccinated travellers will still need to complete the Covid-19 test
