- Room allowance, the total size of a room must not exceed 115cm for carry-on baggage and 158cm for hold baggage.
- For added security, it is advisable to put valuables in the carry-on baggage.
On Air Madagascar flights, only 2 pieces of baggage of 23 kg are allowed in the hold. If any of your baggage exceeds the prescribed weight, you will need to purchase excess baggage.
The maximum weight allowed in the hold, per bag is 23 kg for travellers in economy class (except for tickets with promotional fares or discounts).
- Upon booking, the passenger is required to inform the airline of any large, non-standard baggage that requires authorization for carriage.
- It is advisable to declare them in advance at the points of sale before the day of the flight and to process baggage exceeding 300cm and 32kg under the cargo regime. Baggage exceeding the authorised weights and dimensions will be subject to taxation at check-in.

CABIN PET / PETC
Dog, cat or small bird tamed up to 5kg with its wicker or metal container or special carrying bag but especially not cardboard. Counted in the cabin baggage allowance, the animal with the baggage must not exceed the maximum allowable cabin weight. Acceptance for carriage must be confirmed in advance in the passenger’s booking file.
ANIMAL IN HOLD / AVIH
Transported in a certified rigid metal or plastic cage. Acceptance for carriage must be confirmed in advance in the passenger’s booking file. The AVS shall be counted as one piece in the passenger’s baggage allowance and shall not exceed the authorized weight and total dimension.
