What documents do I need to provide for an EVASAN request?
Your request must include the following documents:
Detailed medical certificate: Issued by your attending physician, it must specify your health condition, diagnosis, current treatments, care needed during the flight (oxygen, stretcher, etc.), and the reason for the EVASAN.
MEDIF form: This Madagascar Airlines-specific form (MEDical Information) will be provided to you by the branch and must be duly completed and signed by your physician.
Letter of commitment: For the medical team accompanying passengers on stretchers.
For safety reasons related to pressure changes in the cabin, passengers wearing a cast are generally not allowed to travel.
If you absolutely must travel with a cast, please follow these steps:
Contact us before your departure to obtain approval from our medical department.
Provide a medical certificate stating that you are fit to travel by air.
Follow the EVASAN (Medical Evacuation) procedure by submitting your medical file.
Important: Please inform us of any medical conditions during your reservation.
ATR72 flights: Due to the size of the aircraft's doors, it is unfortunately not possible to board a passenger on a stretcher in a lying position on board our ATR72 flights. We are therefore unable to accept passengers requiring a stretcher for this type of flight.
General rule: For safety and comfort reasons, any passenger unable to be moved to a seated position will not be allowed on board our flights.
