Madagascar Airlines works with payment solution providers to accept and secure online payments. The following are common problems with online credit card payments:
1 - Card not authorized for online payment
Before making a payment on madagascarairlines.com, check with your bank whether your card is authorized to make an online payment.
2 - Insufficient funds:
Sometimes the funds in the bank card account are not sufficient to make the payment.
3 - Authentication failed
In order to avoid card fraud, rules for accepting credit cards have been put in place. It is required that the cards used on madagascarairlines.com must be protected by 3D Secure. To find out if 3D secure is enabled on your card, please contact your bank.
3D Secure is an authentication system that requires the identification and authentication of the customer during payment. Authentication takes place in 2 steps:
Step 1: Entering bank information
Once you have selected the card payment method, you will be redirected to the payment page where you must enter:
- your card number
- the validity date
- The visual cryptogram (3 digits on the back of the card).
Step 2: authentication of the transaction
A new window will open with your bank’s logo. It redirects you to your bank’s website to confirm your identity, with the authentication process set up by your bank. According to the most common procedure, your bank sends you a single-use code or OTP by SMS. You enter the information requested in the input screen. When the authentication is confirmed by your bank, the payment is authorized and the transaction is finalized.
You will then receive your flight ticket at the email address provided during the booking.
Other payment refused: Payment cards from banks located in the USA are not accepted by our payment solution BNI Pay.

The fare adjustment is the compensation for the difference between the original airfare and the airfare available on the date of the change. The fare adjustment allows the price of a plane ticket to be adjusted when changes are made to the initial booking. In other words, if you decide to change your travel date, your itinerary or your booking class, the price of the new ticket may be different from the one you originally paid. This is due to price fluctuations, the purchase currency, or the addition of new taxes.
When purchasing your plane ticket with Madagascar Airlines, the modification penalties are clearly indicated in the fare conditions. Modification penalties at Madagascar Airlines often vary depending on the booking class, the type of fare chosen, and the network.
