Madagascar Airlines and Ewa Air today announced the launch of a codeshare agreement aimed at enhancing connectivity between Madagascar, Mayotte, and the Comoros. Under this partnership, Madagascar Airlines will market flights operated by Ewa Air under its MD code, creating new travel opportunities and providing passengers with a smoother regional travel experience.
This agreement reflects the shared commitment of both airlines to support regional development, facilitate travel, and meet the growing demand for mobility across the Indian Ocean. Through this cooperation, passengers will benefit from a more seamless journey experience, including a single ticket for the entire itinerary, protected connections, and through-checked baggage to the final destination.
The agreement covers routes between Mayotte and Antananarivo, Antsiranana, Mahajanga, and Nosy Be, as well as connections from Antananarivo, Antsiranana, Mahajanga, and Nosy Be to Moroni via Mayotte. This collaboration therefore creates new travel links between Madagascar, Mayotte, and the Comoros, improving regional accessibility and enhancing the attractiveness of the region. Madagascar Airlines continues to strengthen its regional connectivity strategy alongside its existing partnerships with long-standing airline partners such as Air France, Corsair, and Air Austral.
For its part, Ewa Air reaffirms its commitment to delivering a consistent and efficient air transport offering across the Indian Ocean, relying on strong partnerships to better meet travelers’ expectations. Bookings will be available through the airlines’ websites, travel agencies, and authorized sales outlets.
