Madagascar Airlines has launched its new Business Lounge and has renovated its agency at the Ivato National Terminal.

Antananarivo, April 28, 2026

With the opening of the new domestic terminal at Ivato Airport, developed by Ravinala Airports, Madagascar Airlines has announced the launch of several infrastructure projects aimed at greatly enhancing the passenger experience. As the primary domestic operator at this terminal, the airline is advancing its transformation plan, focusing on customer service and supporting the growth of Malagasy air transport.

A lounge that embodies our identity

Madagascar Airlines' new Business Lounge officially opened on April 28, 2026, and welcome its first passengers on April 29. Spanning an area of 122 m², it features four distinct zones — dining, relaxation, family area, and workspace — crafted to ensure that the journey begins well before boarding.

Upon entering, the ambiance is established: walls are decorated with works by Malagasy artists, the island's landscapes provide a scenic backdrop, and certain furniture pieces are made from recycled materials and local resources, reflecting the skill of Malagasy artisans. The dining experience amplifies this immersive environment: weekly changing menus feature Malagasy cuisine, ranging from traditional specialties to sophisticated dishes.

A destination where global comfort and Malagasy authenticity converge — ensuring that every departure is a memorable experience.

Access to the lounge is reserved for Business Class passengers and Gold and Platinum members of the Valisoa Club loyalty program. Economy Class passengers may also access the lounge by purchasing a pass at a ticket office, through the call center, at check-in, or even once they are already in the departure lounge.

Our Ivato branch has undergone a complete renovation.

The Madagascar Airlines agency located within the terminal has undergone a complete renovation. Passengers can now enjoy a space that is designed to streamline every aspect — ticket purchasing, modifications, flight information — all within a modern, accessible, and inviting environment, at the entrance of the airport.

Madagascar Airlines, the premier domestic airline

From this national terminal, Madagascar Airlines offers connectivity to its provinces, spanning from North to South and from East to West. With 10 destinations served, over 100 flights per week during the high season, and nearly 372,000 passengers transported in 2025, the company reaffirms its position as the leading operator in the Malagasy domestic network.

Domestic flights are synchronized with the international connections of partner companies, providing seamless travel for visitors eager to explore Madagascar and its regions.

"This inauguration represents our dedication to providing our passengers with a travel experience that earns their trust. Each enhancement to our infrastructure is a progressive step towards the company we aim to become: modern, grounded in its Malagasy identity, and entirely focused on serving our customers."

Karl Andrianony, Chief Commercial Officer, Madagascar Airlines
