Madagascar Airlines unveils its new lounge and renovated agency at the domestic terminal

Antananarivo, April 28, 2026

Alongside the inauguration of the new Domestic Terminal at Ivato Airport, led by Ravinala Airports, Madagascar Airlines is proud to announce the opening of several key facilities designed to significantly enhance our passengers' journey. As the primary domestic operator at this terminal, the airline is reaching a new milestone in its transformation plan, dedicated to our customers and the growth of Malagasy aviation.

A Lounge That Reflects Who We Are

The new Madagascar Airlines Business Lounge officially opens its doors today, April 28, 2026, welcoming its first passengers on April 29. Designed across 1313 square feet (122 m²), the lounge offers four distinct areas—Dining, Relaxation, Family, and Workspace—ensuring your journey begins long before takeoff.

The moment you step inside, the atmosphere is set: works by Malagasy artists adorn the walls, while the island’s breathtaking landscapes serve as a backdrop. In a nod to sustainability and local talent, select furniture pieces have been crafted from recycled materials and local resources, showcasing the exceptional skill of Malagasy artisans. Our culinary selection continues this immersion, featuring weekly rotating menus that celebrate Malagasy gastronomy, from traditional specialties to refined contemporary cuisine.

It is a place where international comfort meets authentic Malagasy spirit—making every departure a memorable experience.

Access Details: The lounge is reserved for Business Class passengers and Gold or Platinum members of the Valisoa Club loyalty program. Economy Class passengers may also enjoy lounge access for a fee, bookable at our agencies, on our website, or via our call center.

Our Fully Renewed Ivato Agency

The Madagascar Airlines agency within the terminal has also undergone a complete renovation. Customers will now find a space designed to simplify every step of their travel—from ticket purchases and modifications to flight information—all within a modern, accessible, and welcoming setting located in the heart of the airport.
