To improve service quality and ensure safe transport conditions that comply with international standards, Madagascar Airlines is updating the pricing of certain services requiring special attention, effective March 2, 2026.

These services include:
• Traveling with an animal (in cabin or in hold)
• Transport of sports equipment
• Assistance for unaccompanied minors
These services require specific organization, dedicated personnel and enhanced checks to ensure safety, reliability and comfort for every concerned passenger.

Animal in cabin (≤ 7 kg including cage)

Fare: 80,000 MGA per segment

This service includes:
• Acceptance of the animal in the cabin under specific conditions
• Placement of the cage under the seat in front of the passenger
• Verification of veterinary documents
• Inspection of the approved transport cage
• Assistance during check‑in and boarding

Conditions:
• Maximum weight: 7 kg (animal + cage)
• Subject to available cabin space
• The animal must remain inside its cage throughout the flight

Animal in hold

Fare: 190,000 MGA per segment

This service includes:
• Transport in a pressurized, ventilated and air‑conditioned hold
• Inspection of the approved transport cage
• Specialized handling by ground personnel
• Handover of the animal to the passenger upon arrival

Conditions:
• Acceptance subject to availability and operational conditions
• Possible restrictions depending on climate and safety requirements

Why a dedicated fee?

Transporting an animal requires specific checks, adapted handling and strict compliance with international standards to guarantee safety, animal welfare and reliable transport.

TRANSPORT OF SPORTS EQUIPMENT

Fares per segment:

• 80,000 MGA: bicycle, fishing equipment, golf equipment
• 100,000 MGA: kayak, surfboard, windsurf board

This service includes:
• Handling adapted to oversized equipment
• Secure loading into the aircraft hold
• Verification of compatibility with the aircraft
• Tracking through dedicated service codes

Conditions:
• Equipment must be properly packed
• Acceptance subject to availability and operational conditions

Why a dedicated fee?

Transporting sports equipment requires significant hold space and specific handling by trained staff to ensure safety and proper protection of the items.

CHILDREN AGED 4 TO 14 (INCLUSIVE) TRAVELLING ALONE

Fare: 50,000 MGA per segment

This service includes:
• Full assistance of the minor from check‑in onward
• Support during all controls (security, police, immigration)
• Supervision in the boarding area
• Escort to the aircraft and care provided by the cabin crew
• Handover to the designated guardian upon arrival

Required documents:
• Parental authorization
• Identification document
• Contact details of the person dropping off and picking up the child

Supporting an unaccompanied minor requires dedicated staff and reinforced coordination at every stage of the journey to ensure safety and responsibility.
