To ensure the smooth running of your trip, it is mandatory to declare any oversized or non-standard baggage at the time of booking or no later than 48 hours before departure. This allows us to check cargo hold availability and the conditions of acceptance.

Fees and Conditions for Special Baggage:

Transport of sports equipment is a paid service.

Each item must be properly packed, comply with the permitted dimensions, and be identified with its service code.

Fees by type of equipment (Payment at the airport only):

  • Bicycle (BIKE): 80,000 MGA
  • Fishing equipment (FIEQ): 80,000 MGA
  • Golf equipment (GOLF): 80,000 MGA
  • Kayak (KAYA): 100,000 MGA
  • Surfboard (SURF): 100,000 MGA
  • Windsurf board (WIND): 100,000 MGA

The fee includes handling, the necessary cargo hold space, and appropriate processing for oversized equipment.

Conditions for sports equipment and special baggage

Each item must be packed in a single piece of packaging.

Weight is generally limited to 20 kg; above 32 kg, shipment as cargo is required.

Acceptance depends on size constraints, weight, and compatibility with the aircraft.

Transport is subject to cargo hold availability.

  • Conditions for Sports Equipment and Special Baggage:
    • Containment: Each piece of sports equipment or special baggage must be contained in a single unit.
    • Maximum Weight: The maximum authorized weight per unit is generally 20 kg. For heavier baggage (over 32 kg), shipment as freight is mandatory.
    • Additional Fees: Additional fees may apply for baggage exceeding the standard baggage allowance.

Cabin Baggage Occupying a Seat (CBBG)

Certain sensitive or valuable items require the purchase of an additional seat in the cabin.

This applies in particular to bulky musical instruments, works of art, electronic equipment, diplomatic bags, or other valuable items.

The passenger remains responsible for the item in the cabin. Cabin crew will ensure it is secured using seat belts.
